As the title says I have no sound when playing Minecraft in 1.8 (any 1.8 verision) it was working fine yesterday with the exact same settings and I've spent over an hour trying everything I can from my end to fix it. It is not an issue on my end, sound is working perfectly for everything else and all the Minecraft sounds are shown to be on (I have messed repeatedly with the sliders to be sure) I have also checked the mixer repeatedly, sound for Minecraft is on there as well. Restarting both Minecraft and my computer does nothing to fix the issue.
I've had the same issues when playing on a server (1.8) with some friends (as have they, there's always at least 1 off us who don't have sound) but chalked it up to the server simply being weird, now however I've found it to also happen in single player.
Things I have tried and that has done nothing to improve the sound problems:Messing with the Minecraft sounds (repeatedly)
Messing with the MipMap-thing
Opening and closing Minecraft (repeatedly)
Restarting my computer
Un- and re-installing Minecraft
Everything else that came up when searching for a fix on google

Stationary computer, 4GB Ram, Running Windows 7, has latest Java installed
