So when i start minecraft, i am able to select anything on the main menu screen. However, i can't select anything that's not in a gray square, i.e saved worlds, different languages. What should i do? I have already restarted minecraft and my computer.

My kids are having the same problem....both are using new laptops they received for Christmas running Windows 8 on Dell Inspiron computers. I have tried deleting and re-installing the game, hooking up an external mouse, downloaded new drivers, nothing fixes it and they are getting really frustrated. If somebody can help us with a fix it would be really appreciated!
