Okay, so I've been playing the console version since it came out only because all of my buddies have never wanted to get it for the computer. I'm now swapping to the pc version with or without them, and now that I have swapped, I want to get a few mods. Ive done tons of research, watched countless youtube videos and I still cannot get any to work. Ive installed forge, have my forge profile in the launcher, and have all of my mods in the mods folder. Whenever I start up the launcher, I select my forge profile and hit play. It loads, then right before the "MOJANG" pops up, it crashes. Every. Single. Time. I have all versions of minecraft (up to 1.8.1). I haven't found many mods for 1.8.1, so I've tried the ones I have found as well as the plethora I've found for 1.7.10. (I've even ran the game on 1.7.10 version with only 1.7.10 mods in the folder, still crashes.) Im currently trying to get Rei's Minimap and Optifine. I'd be happy with those. I just have no clue as to what I'm doing wrong. I'm running on a Macbook Pro, iOS mavericks (unfortunately). Please help me, I'd love to get the full experience the cp has to offer. Curse Premium- Go to http://files.minecraftforge.net/
- Select the version to 1.7.10 (because its the latest with mods)
- You should now see something like this:
- Press the Installer link next to the version you want, in this case its this version:
- Open the installer (its safe)
- Select Install Client
- Press the OK or Install button in the installer.
- Wait
- Now a new profile should appear in the Minecraft launcher.
- Open the Minecraft Launcher.
- Place the mods into the mods folder.
- Select the new profile,
- Press Launch
