This is showing up in my launcher. I just downloaded Minecraft for the first time 2 days ago. There is no sound when I load up a game. I've tried all the traditional fixes. Yes, my speakers are turned on and yes, the volume is turned up I'm getting sound through other sources (Youtube, windows media player). The volume in Minecraft's options menu is set to 100%. Minecraft's volume is not muted and turned up in my Volume Control Panel. I've pressed F3+S while playing. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Minecraft to no avail.
This is Minecraft version 1.8.1 and Launcher version 1.6.5

I downloaded the latest Java version 2 nights ago (Java 8 Update 25)
I haven't found any fixes as of yet for version 1.8.1 There are fixes for older versions, but as I am not extremely tech savvy I didn't want to chance trying something that could potentially make my problem worse.
I have found the issue. It was a family blocking software that was stopping the folders or whatnot to load in. Hopefully if anyone else has this issue this may lead you in the right direction
