Thanks again. Please don't apologise, you've been very helpful. I have learnt quite a bit. So much so that I managed to download and save (via Firefox) all the 31 library files and save them to the correct library folders. Minecraft now works...just VERY slowly.
I've now been trawling the forums to work out why its slow and jittery. I've tried the usual "tweaking" of the graphics setting (now all setting on "fastest"), and ensured good internet connection - neither seem to have an effect.
Thanks again. You've been very helpful. So much so that I've learnt enough to get it working...albeit VERY jittery. I downloaded all the 31 library files directly from the website, via Firefox, then saved them to the correct folder. Now all I need to is to remove the jitter - up to a maximum 2 second freeze. I've done the usual of ensuring a good internet connection and set all the graphics setting to "fast". Neither seem to have an effect. Any ideas?

How are you on "jittery" Minecraft?
