Recently, I bought a new set of ram (16 gigs) and i got a New java ( Java(TM)) 7 update 5. Before this, minecraft was running fine with the 35 mods i have on it and i was running a modded server as well with my bro. Both the server and my client had 1 gig of ram and they ran fine but now since i changed my ram, every second there is a lag spike. I have looked all over the internet and could not find anything to fix this. All the videos were about more ram and lower minecraft settings. I have a modded client also.
Press F3 while playing to bring up the debug screen. Now watch the memory usage in the top right corner for a while (at a time when the game is suffering lag spikes) and tell us what it does. My bet is that it goes up really high, then the game freezes momentarily while the JVM frees up some space.
Also, can you provide your JVM Arguments here? You can find these under "Edit Profile";

I checked the debug window and when a lag spike hits, the memory usuage goes down to about 80%, so i wouldn't think its that. Also here's my specs and my argument. I changed my java so i could up the ram i used on my server if that's useful.
In game it says the max memory is 476M but i allocated 4G in the argument. I changed the argument that errored back to the Previous one so i could play.
Looks like razor synapse was causing the problem. However, I had to go into the game files and remove the key bindings that were attached. I tried to do that in-game but it wouldn't undo. But thank you for your help!

A solution someone else used in a similar thread was to launch Razer Synapse AFTER Minecraft (they killed the task in task manager, then launched Minecraft, then ran Synapse again).
Another solution might be to look at different software for your keybindings. I personally recommend Auto Hotkey and X Mouse Button Control (although both rely on your ability to configure them, while the latter works only for mice, and will benefit some mice much less than others).

Big thanks to you, your argument is working perfectly. Instead of having 23% allocated, ( even if i gave MC 8 gig tu run on it) i have 100% allocated. No more lag spike problem. My Fps is not shifting anymore every second.
