And same solution. But simpler is to just go into your apps, right click on Minecraft.app, go to Show package Contents->Resources->Java->Bootstrap.jar then right click on the jar file, select Make Alias and then drag the alias (shortcut) to the desktop and use it to start the game.

There's a little button that says "More Info" but if you click that it goes to a dead page at Apple.
I've tried looking for the Java SE 6 download but it doesn't seem to be available for Mac.
I can't be the only one with this problem...?
