Hello, this problem has been happening for at least a year now and I'm getting tired of it. every time i try and go to minecraft.net, this is what it shows. I have recently lost or misplaced the launch file for the game but I've been able to play online even without being able to load the page! Please help!
Can you provide more details about the exact error you get in your browser?
However, if you ever used cracked/pirated MC, check your hosts file, I've heard that some of the cracked launchers use it to redirect minecraft.net to localhost (which is basically malicious code in a way) to keep you from getting legit Minecraft (because the hackers making them want you to keep pirating). Just remove any entries containing "minecraft.net", "assets.minecraft.net", and maybe even "s3.amazonaws.com" to fix it.
However, if you never pirated Minecraft, I'll need more details to figure this out, but check your hosts file as described above anyway just in case something else (e.g. a malicious mod you downloaded in the past) messed with it.

Years ago i tried to get a crack, however I can't find any files you've mentioned and ive deleted anything relating to minecraft including .minecraft just to be sure
