I'm having an odd issue no one else seems to be having,
for some reason, the Esc key no longer works when I boot up a minecraft world. This means I can't pause my game or access any of the options in-game. Heck, I can't even use Esc to close out if inventory menus or chat, and I have no idea why. I have tried rebooting my client and all that, and the Esc key seems to work normally in the main menu...just not once a world is opened up
Last thing I did before this bug happened was take a few screenshots of some pistons to illustrate that the stone part of sticky pistons need their own sort of mossy texture to help people easily tell the two kinds of pistons apart

I'm only having the problem with Minecraft
Try deleting options.txt in your Minecraft directory. Don't worry, it'll regenerate when you start Minecraft.
... though I have absolutely no idea how it happened in the first place. I did not change my controls at all, and I don't go roaming around through the .minecraft folder very often (even so it's usually for adding a texture pack)
maybe there's some sort of bug with screenshots or clicking off the window while the chat window is open or something

Windows: %appdata%\.minecraft
Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/
Linux: ~/.minecraft/
If the ESC still doesn't work, then you might have a defective keyboard.
