My problem is that I have a huge mod pack and I need more ram to run it, but every time I allocate more memory I need to restart my computer and if I launch Minecraft and hit F3 in-game it will show that I have 5GB of ram allocated. If I wait longer than I'd say about 5 minutes on my desktop if I launch Minecraft then I won't have the Ram I allocated anymore... This also happens if I start it a second time. I was thinking that it had something to do with a program that doesn't start until everything else is done loading. If you have any ideas please help, It's unplayable without it.
I don't have logs because it's not a crash and if I need them I don't know how to get to start up logs.
I tried to allocate more RAM to Java but this still doesn't work. I see people on YouTube do "-Xmx4G" and some do "-Xmx4G -Xms3G" every time I try those commands I get this issue.
Error:
Error occurred during initialization of VM
Initial heap size set to a larger value than the maximum heap size
Picked up _JAVA_OPTIONS: -Xmx512M
I should also probably add I placed a plane in Flans Mod and it crashed me and ever since then I can't allocate any RAM.
Are you kidding me... It was Razer Synapse the whole time. Damn I need that for my Razer mouse though >.> Good thing I got a new mouse from Corsair no more Synapse. Thanks man!!!
