Hello I Just got my new windows 8 computer and I am trying to add more RAM to my minecraft. I have done this on my old computer and it worked. I tried to do the same thing on this computer and it did not work so I started searching on "how to add more RAM to Minecraft Windows 8" I have tried many tutorials and none of them seem to fix it. When I edit the JVM Arguments from "-Xmx1G -XX:+UseConcMarkSweepGC -XX:+CMSIncrementalMode -XX:-UseAdaptiveSizePolicy -Xmn128M" to "-Xmx4G -XX:+UseConcMarkSweepGC -XX:+CMSIncrementalMode -XX:-UseAdaptiveSizePolicy -Xmn128M" I get no errors but when I get on Minecraft it still says that I only have 499M Placed for Minecraft to use. If anyone could help me that would be great. thanks!
