I have recently recieved a new laptop for christmas. It has great FPS, 100-340 at times. But the problem is that there is a constant flickering on my minecraft screen. I have researched Google and YouTube for answers but nothing seems to be working for me. I have even tried downgrading my graphics card driver and when I did that, my Minecraft crashed and said that my driver was TOO outdated but it seems to work for everyone else! Please help me out. I cannot stand my screen glitching anymore.
Laptop Specs:
5.6-inch HD BrightView WLED-backlit display with 1366 x 768 native resolution
Includes 1.7GHz 4th generation Intel Core i5-4210U processor with 8GB DDR3L SDRAM
Large 1TB hard drive
Intel HD graphics 4400 card for smooth video and game play
802.11b/g/n WLAN wireless connection for fast browsing, upload and download speeds via your wireless network
Integrated Bluetooth allows convenient wireless connectivity to compatible devices
Multi-format digital media card reader for secure digital cards
Two USB 2.0 ports and one USB 3.0 port for fast data transfer to and from external devices and peripherals
Windows 8.1 operating system
Things I have tried:
- Relaunching Minecraft multiple times.
- Restarting my laptop.
- Downloading Optifine
- Downgrade and upgrade my graphics card driver
- Downloading Java
- Setting all my MC settings to lowest and then highest.
This bug has been reported with the latest graphics drivers for the Intel 4400/4600 series. You will need an older version of the Intel Iris graphics driver, available for 32-bit or 64-bit (pick the right one depending on if the system is 32 or 64 bit).
