I purchased a new Dell Laptop/touchscreen running windows 8 and Java 8. When we log into Minecraft and select play and choose single player, I can see the list of worlds but I can't select and play. Picture attached.
It runs well on windows 7 and Mac but not on windows 8.1.
Is there a fix to this?
My kids are having the same problem....both are using new laptops they received for Christmas running Windows 8 on Dell Inspiron computers. I have tried deleting and re-installing the game, hooking up an external mouse, downloaded new drivers, nothing fixes it and they are getting really frustrated. If somebody can help us with a fix it would be really appreciated!
