NOTICE: I solved this issue on my own. I will leave this for future reference with people who may encounter the same problem. Turns out I just had to update my java version first off, then I had to set it to open with the JAVA 8 RUNTIME. Before, I had it set to run with the Java 7 runtime. Please do not reply to this. Any replies to this post will be ignored.
Ok, let it be known, first that I also made a report similar to this one on 01.org's forum (link here:https://01.org/linuxgraphics/node/436 ). Let it be known, second that I have the LATEST current version of java, and the latest minecraft version AND no mods whatsoever. But, yet, I received this issue. Now that I got that off my chest, let's get to the problem.
All right, so, I installed Intel's proprietary drivers because I thought that it would enhance the "Advanced OpenGL" option, which was glitchy before, and that's when things got bad. I started a new world, and then I noticed something was up. (You can see what basically happened in the provided image). IT DIDN'T RENDER RIGHT! I don't know how this could happen, but it did. I have no idea what is up. What I need to know is: What is this problem, why is it happening, and how can I resolve it? I would much appreciate an answer to this post with significant information in the least. Thank you!
Another thing:
My specs:
CPU: Intel Core i3 2328M 2.2GHz w/3MB L3 cache
GPU: Intel HD Graphics 3000 integrated card using shared system memory
RAM: 4GB 3.98 usable.
HDD: 500GB
OS: Ubuntu 14.04 LTS
BTW, this is an ASUS F55C-TH31 Laptop computer.
These are all according to the vendor (Except the OS, I installed that myself).
