Hi Folks, would appreciate any advice or help on this. Have an old Dell 630 laptop that supposedly ran minecraft before but is crashing now right after the the mojang screen loads.

We just formatted the hard drive and reloaded Win 7 Ultimate. system has Intel core 2 duo T7250 2Ghz processor, 3GB Ram, 300GB HD, and Intel 965 graphics..I have reinstalled Minecraft numerous times now, unistalled and reinstalled java, turned the firewall on and off, downloaded the latest drivers from Dell... but i cant figure this out. The launcher says it is version 1.6.5 and in the lower right hand corner it says ready to play 1.8.1.
