So I recently switched computers and upgraded OS, and Minecraft runs AWFUL now. I get blockpop offline, which I've never had happen before, and online is so laggy as to be unplayable. My process went like this:
1) Installed Minecraft
2) Installed latest Java
3) Find out it specifically needs Java 6, so install that
4) Try and play MC; it's freaking awful
5) Uninstall Java 8
6) No dice, it's still super bad
7) ????
I've turned down settings to their minimum (which I shouldn't have to do) and that's helped a little, but not a lot. Any ideas?
