Hi. I've been having a few io.netty.channel.connecttimeoutexception connection timed out problems whenever I try to join other servers like Beanblockz. I've tried a whole bunch of different things but nothing helped at all. Can somebody please help with this? I really wanna play with my friends..

Notes:
- I am using an iMac
- Firewall is off
-I updated my launcher
- Restarted minecraft a bunch of times
- Tried to direct connect but doesn't work
- Tried joining the server a bunch of times.

I'm not really sure how to do that.. -sweats-

I used to have the same problem, every time I tried to join this multiplayer server it said the io.netty.channel.connecttimeoutexception thing I went on the minecraft servers list where I found the server and I saw that the version the server was using was 1.7.9. and so I changed my version and it worked, but nobody else had to change their version to 1.7.9. to play, so I was stuck with all the glitches and bugs of 1.7.9. I eventually learned to put up with it and it's been working fine until just recently. Everytime I try to join that server it says " Timed Out,' I've closed and reopened the Minecraft launcher thousands of times, I even tried changing my version again. I keep checking my internet connection it says it's working fine and my google works fine and my minecraft works fine ( for singleplayer ) other servers work fine but the server won't work. I thought maybe the server owner shut it down but I see people on the server from the server status. IM SO CONFUSED! D> Here's the server address: 184.95.36.178:49234 I hope this is just a problem with the server or a bug.

btw why on this forum does it not recognize the word "minecraft" XD
