I thought the specs would be good enough to run minecraft at least 60 fps but i'm disappointed that im only running at 10-15 fps, I tried to download 64 bit java but I don't know if it is using it, I check in settings and it doesn't give the error so I suppose it is. I tried adding more ram but it doesn't change. Can someone help me?
Go to your desktop, right-click, select Nvidia Control Panel. On the sidebar, select Manage 3D settings, and for preferred graphics processor put High-Performance NVIDIA Processor.
Alternatively, if you want to make it so that it just does this for Minecraft (recommended since other programs don't always need to use your higher-power, more battery-draining Nvidia card), go to the Program Settings tab, find Minecraft.exe and/or javaw.exe , select it, and under select preferred graphics processor for this program choose the High-Performance NVIDIA Processor.
