Okay, so this isn't the normal "Can't connect to minecraft.net" error stuff. In fact, I'm not getting any errors at all. The problem is, on my network, I can't seem to visit the page http://minecraft.net/. This brings the problem that minecraft will load (albeit slowly, since it's constantly trying to download stuff from a website it can't reach) but won't show my skin or let me connect to servers. However, I am able to connect to https://minecraft.net/ (notice the https://). So what I'm wondering is: Is there any way to change the minecraft launcher and program to try to connect to the https:// version of the site rather than the http:// so that I can log on to servers? I don't know if anyone has had this problem and figured it out, but any help would be greatly appreciated.
