I've been trying to get on Minecraft for about a week but each time it says:
"To open "Minecraft" you need to install the legacy Java SE 6 runtime. Click "More Info..." to visit the legacy Java SE 6 download website."
I click More Info... and hooray, it's a blank page. This has been occurring since I downloaded a new version of the OS. I have also tried re-downloading the game (at least I think I did?) and I don't want to download anything from my Google searches if it's going to screw my other programs up. Anyone know the right way to go about this?

Moderatoruse the 64bit version if needed
This did not work. I feel like "legacy" is asking me to backtrack Java versions...
