So i recently downloaded minecraft. So one of the first things i do is go to change my skin. After changing it on the minecraft website i go to play. I only saw Steve's or Alex's when I played, but my friend it could take some time. 2 days later and no difference. Everyone (including me) has either a Steve or Alex skin. Multiplayer or single player i have a Steve skin on. My friend confirmed that they could see the skin i changed to, but i cant. Please help (im on minecraft 1.8.1)
If your friend can see your skin, then the problem is most likely on your computer. Each skin is a small graphics file that is downloaded from a skin server. Ad blocking software / proxies sometimes prevent skins from being downloaded.

Then my dads internet blocking software strikes again :/ is there any way around it?

the security on my network is relentless, i need my phones wifi to go on anything minecraft related (including this site)
You aren't using your phone's wifi to play minecraft multiplayer, right?
nope. only to change my skin, go on the minecraft website and here. its a netgear firewall
