Throughout every version of minecraft I've played there has commonly been this big bug with cats. So I tame one, and tell it to sit in my house, but when I exit the game then get on later the cat stops listening to me and I can't get it to sit up again. Even worse than that it is sitting, but still teleports after me which gives it the chance of dying. Is there any known cause/fix for this?
Sometimes it will randomly work again, but then randomly mess up again.
I was playing earlier (so I can't take screenshots right now) but I made a cat sit down in my house and got off of minecraft then got back on later and kept right clicking to to make it stand up, but it wouldn't work. Then I walked over to my door (a zombie was knocking on it) and the cat teleported to me, but was still sitting down.

I believe it is stuck in that animation. Technically, it is standing, however, it looks like it's sitting. I've had a similar bug with my wolf where it's stuck in the standing position, but right-clicking still makes it stay as normal without it actually sitting.
I do not know any cure for this. Just keep track of how many times you Right-Click it so you can tel if it'd be Sit-Standing or Sit-Sitting.

Madison has the capability of taming and communicating monsters, a genetic trait passed down by her father. 26 physically, 1400-something mentally, and a Lofty Peakian/Zenithian mix. Doesn't really like being called an elf and hates being called human..

Is it a bug in your vanilla Minecraft?

That seems like a logical explanation. Thanks!
