I'm using Optifine_1.7.10_HD_U_A4, SEUS 10.1 Ultra with GLSL, and ChromaHills for SEUS. For some reason, I can't get mipmapping to work, resulting in this moire effect:
Is anyone else having this problem? Anyone found a way to get mipmapping to work?
Additional info:
Windows 7 64bit
Java 64bit 1.8.0_25
nvidia GTX 780
the only mods are the graphical enhancements listed above
Well, no, it wasn't answered. It was just someone saying what this effect is called. No one's suggested a fix or workaround for it that I can tell. Do you know how to get mipmaps to work on this version?
If it happens with vanilla minecraft like the link given to you suggests, and mojang dismisses it as not a bug, I don't see what you expect us to do. It's in the base code.
You could maybe ask the author of whatever shaders you're using if there's a way around it.
As this is the support forum for modded Minecraft, I'm obviously asking if anyone here has a workaround. If you don't know of one, why are you responding? Are you suggesting that it's inappropriate for me to ask if someone viewing the modded client supportmight know of a way to get rid of this effect?
Whether it's modded or not, is irrelevant in this case as this is a vanilla bug so yes this is the wrong forum after all. There is no need to spam the threads or be rude just because you didn't like the answer either. You made your thread, if anyone responds to it further, great. If not, look elsewhere.
But I'll respect your wish and won't respond further.
