This problem is a recent development not previous before 1.8.1.
Symptoms
In One minecraft world, there is lag for things to update. Blocks update slowly, we can break them, and there is noticeable time between finishing breaking them, and them breaking and leaving an item.
This lag also occurs with time, the moon will continue moving, then jump backwards fairly consistently.
This also occurs with mobs
occurs in single player, or on lan, but only on this world.
System Specs:
Windows 8.1
GTX 660M
8 GB RAM
Java version
This does not occur in new worlds or other worlds, but i would like to fix this one. This world has a considerable amount of progress with my friends.

Same. Happens with me on an Amplified Survival map. It only occurs in specific regions of the world, though, as some portions are completely absent of this. I even made a new world (amplified too) and the problem occurs again. Any fixes?
