Something to do with your windows socket? but it can't download the things it needs may be a problem with your internet or firewall and how you are connecting to the mojang servers
AVG free expired, but it raised back from the dead one day and that was the day it started doing this, i uninstalled AVG and reinstalled MC and still didn't work, i also tried turning off my firewall but nope
Go to Start and type in cmd. Right-click the results that appears and click 'Run as administrator', then accept then UAC dialogue.
In the command prompt window, type the following command and press enter:
netsh winsock reset
Once complete, restart your computer and try Minecraft again.
the update screen doesn't load and then i can only play offline, the servers are offline (since im offline)
what is happening? how do i solve this problem?
