Hello,

I would like to allocate more RAM for Minecraft to use. I have a 6GB 64-Bit Windows 7 system.

I have Java 8 Update 25.



When I change the JVM Arguments in the launcher to: -Xmx5120M -Xms5120M, I get the message:

Error occurred during initialization of VM
Initial heap size set to a larger value than the maximum heap size
Picked up _JAVA_OPTIONS: -Xmx512M

The game works fine when I change it back to 512M. I would like to increase the amount of RAM I can use.

Razer Synapse is a potential cause of this problem => "Picked up _JAVA_OPTIONS: -Xmx512M"

That was the problem, I closed all Razer processes and the problem was gone. I have contacted Razer about this issue.



We shall see what they do!
