I know anything over 100 fps is already pretty good, but I personally can't STAND lag. Sometimes when I go into places (adventure maps) that have huge buildings and stuff, my fps drops to 40-60.
For CPU and GPU temps, it doesn't ever go over 70 celcius. I use MSI Afterburner and Corsair Link.
I know a lot about every PC components, but I'm a newbie with SSDs >.< never studied them. Just know they have a better performance than HDDs and a long life time isn't guaranteed.
They are literally the same technology as flash drives, but with SATA connectors...Basically. They also have a controller to evenly destribute the writes to the memory chips so the chips all wear down at about the same rate.
Due to SSDs being completely electronic, the access speed is near instant (as far as humans are concerned), so defragmenting is not necessary, even at 80% fragmentation.

One of the reasons Java's Garbage Collector. When it removes unnecessary stuff, the computer stops, giving you lag. Also, don't allocate to much memory to minecraft. To much and it will lag because of the reason above.
Another thing, my computer gets like 30 fps on some shader packs. Why ._.
Becuase shader pack will kill any computer. no matter how fast.And be glad you can get 100 fps. some of us can even get 20. Also, did you try optifine?

Are you seriously complaining about getting over 100+FPS? You... do realize that you cant even notice FPS that high given monitor refresh rates?
This article basically proves that defragging an SSD won't dampen its lifespan enough to matter.

Not that there is a NEED to defrag an SSD, given electronics are near instant, but if you defrag an SSD, its not necessarily a bad thing.
