I have tried a million times. I even replaced my entire minecraft and I can't get it to work. I have no idea what's wrong but I'm using the forge loader so maybe it isn't loading it correctly? I really want forge for 1.8. I've never had a problem like this with lesser versions like 1.7.2 or 1.6.4.
I won't use something that is incomplete and useless. I Tried searching for it last night for hours couldn't find it. I haven't got an idea where you found it, but enjoy.

Apparently the creeper is a spy. Why he is a spy , well I don't really know.
If it isn't there (and there is a link further down for 1.8 there), then you shouldn't download it from any mirror site, and just wait till it does get released.
Grimaliq is right though. Only very few simple mods are able to load on it currently as it's not finished, so unless you're testing beta mods for other developers, there's really no point playing with it yet.
