I been playing mc in my laptop for a while, and there was always seemed to be lag spikes I am around 100+ or around 60 fps then I suddenly drop to 0?
I reinstalled my windows to see if it would help but it barely did
Any solutions? if you fix this for me you're a god
Oh and I think this happens to all minecraft version, I always turn off VSync btw so yeah. I have 64bit Java too.
Specs: OS: Windows 7 64bit. RAM: 6 gbs - 2.50 ghz Graphs Card: AMD Radeon HD 7670M
i have it same. please help, i never had this. is started last week...
Yours seems to be some chunk errors, mine isn't like that. Mine just like randoms drops fps to 0 stays for like 1 second, but really annoying happens a lot in pvp.
In options you can turn Vsync on this may hep with your issue. Vsync makes the FPS level throughout your entire playing. Also in options try limiting your FPS to 60, that is the highest your screen will process.

Vsync is off, I use optifine, and I make my frame rate level at 60 because my laptop screen max is that. But I said I go to 200 because I used to do it before.
And I allocated 1gb of ram to it.
EDIT: Oh turn vsync on I will try that sorry, read that wrong

I restored my laptop to the beginning to see if it would change. but no.
How about terminate or uninstall unnecessary applications?
