On my PC I have a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860m graphics card, but since I have an Intel CPU I also have an Intel graphics card. Minecraft uses Intel and no matter what I try I cannot change it to use NVIDIA. I have Windows 8. I went into the control panels and it is set to GTX 860m, but it does not work

Did you have your HDMI (or VGA) wire plugged to motherboard instead of NVIDIA GPU?
