Today I installed Forge ModLoader for 1.8 and I started getting this error as I attempt to join servers. The only server I don't get this on is my own server which is pure vanilla. I checked this out on my unmodified Minecraft 1.8 version, and I didn't recieve this error.

The only mod I have installed on Forge ModLoader is Optifine. It really boosts my FPS so I would really like to use it, but if it is only going to be effective for single player and my own server, it isn't that helpful.

First of all, full forge just came out. Second of all, it's very very beta, and only for mod developers at this point. Trying to combine it with optifine will not end well for you, your server or your world save. Just wait a bit or switch back to 1.7.10 which is stable right now on the servers.

I was having the same problem and finally had to go back to Forge version 8.0.12.1018 (12/01/14) and even then it didn't work until I tried it a second time.

I just installed the Joy-pad Mod cause i have an Xbox 360 controller hooked up but i cant use that now on server until forge updates its (COMMON FORGE DON'T MAKE US HATE YOU)

Forge right now is one guy doing a mamoth job. So you can reap its rewards for free. You might wanna pipe down or else pitch in yourself.

I have the same problem joining mineplex with forge.

OMG this is so annoying, Forge 1.8 is not working for Mineplex, and dont know why. Why isnt anyone fixing this problem! I tried emailing Mineplex but they just told me to keep spamming the server to try to connect to it but thats not working and im waiting for another response currectly. i mean im glad its not just me and other ppl r having this problem so im not alone in this crisis lol. but come on forge or bungee cord (which ever one it is making this problem) fix this problem soon.

Completely strange! I'm not having any issues ! (i have le version before the last one)

maybe you have to change onto it (NO problem i had OptiFine and VoxelMap ATM but Damage Indicators isn't working)

So this problem is because of bungee cord, Server's who dont allow hacks or cheating is cuased by forge.

If you wish to proceed, then you would have to go set up bungee cord
