My son and his friend have been playing minecraft fine for a long time with few problems. About a month or so ago they can no longer connect to each other. They have tried direct connect repeatedly with no success on either end. The y both have the same version and have updated java. My son is using windows 7, his friend has windows 8, but they were always able to connect before. Please, if you have any ideas, please let me know. They are driving me crazy!!!!!
Ok. I tried making an exception in the firewalls because I felt that might be the problem, but I must have done something wrong because they still didn't connect. I had to turn off the firewalls on both computers to get it to work. What should I be allowing on the firewalls so I don't have to remember to turn them back on when they're done?
