Since 1.8.1 came out the wife's laptop is really laggy and crashes on Java.
Here's what I know:
Laptop specs
Intel i3-3227U 1.9GHz
4GB DDR3 1600MHZ
Mobile IntelĀ® HM76 Express Chipset
Intel HD Graphics 4000*
Windows 8.1 64bit (fresh install).
Java 7u71 64 bit.
Minecraft.exe launcher, no mods, (only mod was removed).
No other graphics application has this issue, VLC, Netflix, watching a DVD.
Up until Sunday the 23rd it was working fine,
Here's what I've tried:
Turned down video settings, 30fps, graphics set to fast, particles minimal, render distance is 8 chuncks, full screen set to off
Removed Village info mod.
Reinstalled Minecraft
Reinstalled Java
Reinstalled Windows.
I honestly don't think it's the video card unable to handle Minecraft as it worked JUST FINE. We don't get any errors. but since 1.8.1 came out she's been having issues.
Please help, I've been working on this issue for almost a week now with no luck.
it could be that youdont have any spare RAM to run it. have you tried deleting the entire .minecraft folder? and starting up the launcher and reloading the minecraft files?
can you successfully launch and play on any other previous versions?
