Minecraft mod won't download (Pixelmon) I need help ASAP!

when I open the latest pixelmon 3.3.4 link for the download and press download it says "download starting" but the mod is not actually being downloaded to my PC? It doesn't show the little rectangle box thing that shows it's downloading!? HELP!!!

Firstly, can you download anything else from the internet. Chances it is your browser.
