Are you sure you don't have Optifine (or similar?) I've similar problems with it. If not, I'd try a process of elimination:

Reset your settings in Options>Video Settings to something like this.
If this fixes the problem, gradually turn them back up until it starts happening again, then turn that setting back down
If turning everything down does NOT fix the problem, post a DxDiag (assuming Windows)

well i know its not any type of mod i deleted mine-craft and reinstalled. it dose not always glitch so never know when its going to happen

If you are using optifine, I think you need to turn off that multi-core chunk loading. It causes flashing.

mipmapping and certain GPUs can cause similar issues. Try turning mipmapping off.

i tryed turning off mapping and it seems to fix it but it keeps turning back on by its self and after a little bit the game crashed
also i am not using optifine or any other mod not using any texture / resource packs ether

ill try that but used to work on render of 32 and not do this am only at 16
i lowered it to 8 and game crashed
