-I just want to start of by saying I don't want to be the person who freaks out because he didn't port forward and thinks its minecraft's fault.-
I'm trying to connect to my friends server. The majority of the time, it will connect and show the chat for a few seconds, but it wont load the world. I am then left floating in the void for a few seconds, then kicked with the error:
java.io.IOException: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host
The default error that means you got disconnected. I have no error logs to post, no crash reports, that's the only thing outputted in the console for the server and client alike. I used Dinnerbone's Server Status Query to make sure the server didn't just go down (it had not). All of my friends can still join the server as well. I can connect to any other server untouched. Web debugging programs (fiddler, router's panel, etc.) reveal little that is not already known. I have had no problem connecting before to this server.
Also, sometimes it gets stuck on the loging in screen, felt I should mention that. Also, I have updated java, tried re-installing minecraft, and have no (to my knowledge) firewalls / anti-viruses going.
Sorry for writing a long thing, and I know its little to go on. Any help is welcome.
