My DXDiag is as follows (yes, I gave my computer a silly name, knowing it was a silly name):
My GPUs are dual GTX 980s run in SLI. Though they are not running the latest drivers (I'm running 344.48), I've had this issue on all newer drivers than the ones I'm running now. I've just been sticking with the ones I'm running because newer drivers have been giving me performance and stability issues and massive stuttering on several other games.
its always better to save the dxdiag log and post that rather than a screenshot of the page, as it shows everything, your screenshot doesn't show the GPU information.
You say your running SLI, have you tried disabling it to run minecraft as minecraft doesn't make use of SLI
I am having the same issue with SLI 780's... I really haven't tried disabling SLI because I don't want to have to switch back and fourth every time I wanna play Minecraft. Would really like to find a solution for this problem =/
Ohh and I'm getting this error on FTB Direwolf20 1.7.10 so since it's also happening on Vanilla 1.8 I want to believe it's a minecraft/driver issue and not mod related.
I'm getting the same error using the new Nvidia drivers also updated java and still getting this error. Has anyone found a solution for this problem? just to add info i'm not using any sli but do have two video cards in my pc.

I'm running 344.75 and I haven't had an issue with Minecraft yet. I've ran shaders and all the big mod packs without crashing. Have you tried this update yet?
I get the same error in 1.7.10 only when a) minecraft is running in a fullscreen mode, I have a fullscreen skype call on my second monitor at the same time
I had the newest nvidia driver non beta and got the error now i went back to 340.52 some one on the nvidia forums was using that without problems. I have now been playing for about 2 hours no problem so think that solved it for now. I hope next nvidia update will fix this bug.
