I can't seem to find a reason for this issue. I want to set the maximum amount of RAM for Minecraft to 8G. Of course, I have the -Xmx command set to do so. When I try to load Minecraft with a 256x256 resource pack, it crashes, citing not enough memory. When I looked at the error log, I noticed that the JVM flags had one extra from the command set in the launcher:
I have no idea where that last -Xmx512M is coming from. It is not on my java.exe, my minecraft.exe, or any of the .jar files. I have reinstalled Java 1.8.0_25 x64 and Minecraft. I don't know where that command is coming from. Does anyone have any ideas?
