Minecraft previously worked on this computer. After a few months of not playing I updated to Minecraft v1.8 and Minecraft no longer works on this computer. I have searched the forums and Google and cannot find a solution to my problem. Any help would be appreciated.

These are the repeatable steps:

1. Start Minecraft Launcher
2. Start Minecraft
3. Generate or join world
4. World generates or joins
5. See everything for about one sec
6. Crash to desktop with Java error message

I tried the following steps to fix this issue:

1. Un / reinstalled Minecraft
2. Un / reinstalled Java

I have no idea what is wrong. Can anyone help me?

That's not a java crash report, it's a window's crash report. As such it has very little to do with Minecraft. The error "Exception Code: c0000374" is program heap corruption, i.e. Java's own heap. This could mean that you are experiencing a bug in Java (unlikely) or you have a corrupted Java install, or your RAM memory is failing.
