So I recently switched to Uverse and was issued an Arris NVG589 modem. Since the switch I can rarely connect to a server. I know the issue isn't PC based since I'm able to play on other networks. Can't seem to find a fix or an idea of a solution. I'm not at all savy when it comes to internet devices or terminology, and have only found suggestions for "port forwarding" to host a server. I'm not planning or trying to host anything just simply connect and play on someone else's server. The server is somewhere in Europe (I'm in the US) and when I try to connect now the ping is in the high thousands. Any help would be appreciated as I am locked in with Uverse for the next year. Thanks.
