So i've had an issue on 1.8 where chunks after a certain point will flicker when I change my render distance above normal. It happens on completely vanilla, and with Optifine installed. I've attached a screenshot, any help would be appreciated!
they mention that this is caused by a bug in AMD video drivers. I've been seeing this. I found that I could exit Minecraft and restart, to fix this. For me it was the changing of the setting that caused the problem. Once it was changed and Minecraft restarted, the above normal setting works fine.
