So this is a new problem that has baffled me on Realms a day ago. In the main part of the Realms, certain areas causes HUGE lag spikes (I go from about 80 FPS to 0 in a few seconds). Sometimes it gets so bad that it causes the "io.netty.handler.timeout.readtimeoutexception" error, but unlikely the other nettys I faced before, I can still log on most of the time and get out of said area before it happens again. It is the same blocks that cause it and only when you walk in a certain direction. I have reloaded the chunks and it looks to load fine. One area it happens in has a gate with some redstone that works when walking east but causes lag and the error when walking west. I have two other area with the exact same circuit that runs just fine both ways, so I suspect the redstone is not the issue. Two more affected areas have no redstone nor no mobs. It is just a building of a ship in a dock by the ocean. I have checked for a spawner underground, but there wasn't one. I have also updated Java and restarted the router but it didn't work. Funny thing is that I have changed nothing from 2 days ago to when it happened yesterday. I just can't figure out what is wrong with it.
I am running the Realms in 1.8 and I am using a Mac with Optifine 1.8.0 HD U A6. I hope that explains the situation. If you need more info about it let me know. Thank you in advance for the help!
I have tried playing avoiding the areas, but it seems like there are more now all spreading around. Can this spread? I was about to move this map off Realms to a server by the end of this month. Would I not be able to since all this is going on?
