Xenomorphjedi here and I need some help. First I must explain my dilemma, I uninstalled Minecraft because it was acting all wonky, so I uninstalled it and deleted everything except for my worlds. Then I went to minecraft.net and installed Minecraft, but what it gave me was just the program and not the .minecraft file or anything like that. So now I'm stuck without Minecraft, I would greatly appreciate your help and look forward to playing Minecraft again.
You need to explain your self more. You downloaded the minecraft.dmg or minecraft.exe (which one) and ran it. Now at what point does Minecraft stop working?
Hmmmm, look around your computer's files. Google how to find your minecraft folder and see if it is there. Also look for the minecraft app (the thing you click on to open the launcher).
If you can't find anything, try re-downloading the .exe (you are on Windows right?) and opening it. If you have any programs that would prevent 'fraudulent' files from being open (some virus barriers may do that) make sure they are off/not going to effect opening a .exe downloaded from the Internet.
Ok, so it was Minecraft.exe I click it, and nothing happens. I try pressing open, and nothing happens. I double click and nothing happens.
That makes it sound like java isn't running correctly, i would suggest a reinstall of jave (as in remove all java's via control panel, then install fresh version)
