Hello, I am currently having a problem! So me and my friend like to play minecraft both on servers like mineplex and gammamc, but then we got onto a realm! We had fun there too, and we're loving it. One day, my pc couldnt connect to anything! Literally no servers would be able to be connected to.



So, i asked my friend if he also had that problem, and he doesnt! Then, i check on my brothers laptop, He cant connect either! Not my laptop either! So thats this computer im typing on now, my laptop and my bro's laptop. So that means, our network got broken all randomly!

What do i do, our network is a Zyxel if needed.

The problem could be an update to your computers' antivirus / firewalls that starting blocking Java from connecting to the network. Or if one of those programs started trying to proxy SSL connections. Java won't allow such broken man-in-the-middle attacks on its SSL connections.

What do the launcher tabs say? (Configure your launcher profile to keep the launcher open) Post the "Launcher Log" tab and the "Game Output" tab when you start and navigate to the multiplayer tab.

If you open a CMD window can you ping mineplex.com ?

You are having general network issues, i.e. the problem is outside Minecraft or even Java. The problem doesn't appear to be DNS related, as you get the same IPs I got.

You can ping google.com right? Can you tell the difference between IPv4 and IPv6 addresses? The mineplex.com is IPv4, I suppose if you were on an IPv6 network and needed 6to4 support to talk with IPv4 addresses, then that could be a source of problems.

If you can't ping google.com then I might suspect that you have some kind of malware on your computer... but you said this affected multiple computers.

Try running tracert mineplex.com

Try looking at your firewall and see if Java is being blocked and if it is unblock it. If it is not, then try resetting the network and turning off your computers internet.

nope, request timed out, but it seems like our router has been restricted due to some pc having a virus, so it might be like a virus on my brothers pcs, cuz i checked mine

somethings certainly wrong. You can use a browser to get here though, and you can use a browser to search on google? I think you might have some malware installed that's messing with your network connections.......

Yeah, i think so. It seems like one of the pc's on my network (basically its possible that it could be dads pc that got messed up, he aint smart about ads n stuff like that) is having a malware, so our internet delivering thing, (IDKWhatToCallit) "Telenor" restricted our internet so it blocks way more stuff, so we gotta find the pc. we have 3 houses where we live, we live in the biggest house, while we rent the others to people who pay good enough xD. and we share connection with the other 2 houses, so it will attract more "customers" to live here. one of their pc's could potentially have a virus.

sorry to inform you, but this is wrong. Our internet connection cant just randomly decide "Need a better connection"... Because it worked until now, therefore, i should not have to get a new computer or a new router, cuz that has nothing to do with this. The pc costed 1 767 USD.

If you think that your ISP (Telenor) has restricted your connection due to malware, then perhaps you should contact their customer service.

If you are sharing your connection with strangers who knows what they are running over your internet as well....

Did anyone even considered idea that he is running a profile that has "latest snapshot" settings, and due to it he is proppably failing to connect to servers cuz versions do not match, or sumting like that. ISP does not restrict viral infected private networks, unless they recive explicit paperwork from court of law. Also maybe his tenants are downloading XYZ gigs torrents, choking all other traffic on network, thus giving minecraft constant failure to connect due to "timed out" , in this case bandwith management router could solve your issues, providing that you don't already use one with that ability.

No I didn't consider that because it doesn't explain why the servers don't show up in the list. A version mismatch only affects you once you try to CONNECT.
And you have no idea what ISP policies are around the world so don't make assumptions about what they may or may not do.

Servers don't show up in the list? Asides that picture provided in the post, there is also sentence , and i quote : "Literally no servers would be able to be connected to." , end quote, both of those can be guideline to the problem, so i realy consider that part of your reply ... rather awkward.

As for ISP policies around globe, i must say that you are absolutely right on that one, I do not know them, and i have no right to make assumptions on the subject. So now let us get back on the track here:

Okkon, i was not talking what you have to do, or what your knowledge about computers is, i was talking to helpers here to give them ideas how to help you with better advices.

In a LAN game the server state can be filtered out and the server still connectible. As far as I know that's not possible with an Internet server. If you can't see it being online then you aren't able to talk to it period.
