are you trying to join the server with 1.7.10 or 1.8?
even though mineplex say they are 1.8 they are really using a patch of 1.7.10 that allows 1.8 to join, this causes some people to not be able to join with 1.8 and crash out.
Have you tried reinstalling (fully removing and then installing) java?

I'm using 1.7.10. But I don't this that it matters.

I have tried to update all my drivers, to upgrade LWJGL, I even tried to re-instal Minecraft. Non of these are working. Please help!
