I am much over 18 and have a Realm in which I and friends have been playing for 5 months. Can anybody tell me why I was forbidden to log in last night until I provided proof that I had parental permission to play online? Since my parents are long dead, I simply approved myself through a secondary email account, so I can now play again. But this wasted a half hour of my time last night, and I resent that my credit card was charged 10 cents for this needless function.

It could very well just be Microsoft forcing Mojang to dot i's and cross t's that they felt haven't got them legally covered.

But it's hard to tell for sure, I didn't find anything 'official' about it.

I always loved sites that basically said under 13 year-olds weren't allowed. All that meant was that people lied about their birthdays.

Ugh.... I'm a 29 yo that just got blocked from playing realms because I needed my "parents permission" to play. How utterly stupid. Any child with even a dim thought in their head could figure out to put their own email into the slot, and give themselves permission... On top of that, there is a ten cent fee??? I get that it's needed to confirm who you are, but there is nothing saying that they can't refund it. But they won't, because money. Thank god that I don't have any cards attached to my account. They will not get my ten cents just to prove whatever. I paid for my account. My boyfriend paid for the realms server. They won't get any more.

Got hit up for this a second time. Yes, I am*STILL* over 18.

I have payed for this parental consent thing but realms still won't work. Any fix for this?
