So this is probably a lame question but here goes. When I try to install an updated mod it throws all kinds of errors. Buildcraft is the latest example.
I am using Forge on 1.7.10. I currently have Buildcraft 6.0.18 installed, and wanted to update to Buildcraft 6.1.5 However whenever I remove 6.0.18 and drop the newer buildcraft jar in it pukes and will not run talking about missing block, trying to add this or that but failing. This happens on any of the more indepth MODs.
What is the correct and successful way for updating installed MOD's? Or do you have to restart the world you have created anytime something gets updated?
I also have this issue if I want to remove a MOD. I remember trying to remove BattleGear2 and ended up having to keep it because I could not get minecraft to load.
Thanks
