So i am using Galacticraft started yesterday and i was getting SOME crash errors but nothing serious. But i woke up today got on normally but now when i try to open it, it says:

Forge mod loader detected that the backup level.dat is being used

This may happen due to a bug or corruption,continuing can damage your world beyond repair or lose data/progress

Options:

Yes/No



So when i press yes nothing happens. It brings me to the tittle screen and when i try to open the place again it crashes my window.



And when i press no pretty same process. But it doesn't crash it, it simply makes it non responsive.



I am using a Windows 8 HP, on minecraft version 1.7.10. Any help would be appreciated!

Do you have a backup of your world somewhere? Or was that the only copy? Can you open it without galacticraft now?

I made a copy threw the .minecraft files. But i am worried if i disable Galacticraft it will delete my moon base...
Also forgot to post that it also says:



It is recommended to make a copy of this game before continuing



and then the options...

If you disable it temporarily, your base should still be there if you try and load it later on. Barring any unexpected further crashes and corruption. But you can always just make a backup of your save before you do it so you have something to fall back on.

How do i disable it? When i go to the mod page it doesn't let me..

Quit the game and take the offending mod out of the mod folder temporarily. Start the game back up.

Hhmm. I am having a similar error, when I press yes it says, "Loading world..." then gives me the message again. Press yes again: same thing. If I press no it takes me to title screen. Any ideas?

Copy that folder. Ta-da, you've made a backup.
