I want to play orespawn and other 1.6.4 mods, but my mods folder is filled with 1.7.10 mods. I don't want to delete the 1.7.10 mods but I want to add orespawn for 1.6.4 without deleting any 1.7.10 mods. I also have forge 1.6.4
I actively use multiple versions of Minecraft, all the way back to 1.3.2. I have never had any mods conflicting.
This is how mine is set up...
In your mods folder, create a folder for each version of Minecraft you have.
For example;
.minecraft\mods\1.6.2
.minecraft\mods\1.7.10
Move the mods to the appropriate folders.
Make sure you have the correct loaders (forge, fml, modloader), libraries, apis, and so on for the version and build of Minecraft, as well as the mod you want to use.
Now there should be no conflicts between mod versions.
If it's just OreSpawn (PMC link) you're after, here's a quote from the author posted a day ago (November 4, 2014)
[quote=TheyCallMeDanger]Working furiously on OreSpawn for 1.7.10. Should be available in about a week. Check back soon!
EDIT
I just discovered there is a Minecraft 1.7 10 development version on the orespawn official website
Keep in mind that this development version is not likely endorsed by the MCF staff.
Download and use it at your own risk
Please read the instructions provided on the download page, and contact the author if there are any issues.
