So I've only had my desktop up and running recently (like 3-4 months ago) and have had the PC version of Minecraft on here for under a week. (I was on X360 for a couple years.)
Needless to say I'm basically starting from scratch and as such I've only just recently gotten my base built and gathered enough supplies and materials to venture out and start creating secondary outposts. So I've only just as of today explored out far enough to run into oak trees (up until today all I had found were spruce, birch, and dark oak, the latter of which I have not mined yet). Now I've just spent the last 1-2 hours cutting down a massive amount of Oak trees and defoliating them at the same time to end up with an inventory full of, you got it, apples and peonies... Is anyone else seeing this???
The weird thing is that I went back to watch closely, and the drop from the oak leaves looks like an oak sapling drop. Soon as I pick it up, it shows up as a Peony in my inventory.

The peony is a flowering plant in the genusPaeonia, the only genus in the familyPaeoniaceae. They are native to Asia, Southern Europe and Western North America. Boundaries between species are not clear and estimates of the number of species range from 25 [2] to 40.[3]
Most are herbaceousperennial plants 0.5–1.5 metres (1.6–4.9 ft) tall, but some resemble trees 1.5–3 metres (4.9–9.8 ft) tall. They have compound, deeply lobed leaves and large, often fragrant, flowers, ranging from red to white or yellow, in late spring and early summer. Read More...
